Greetings. I have downloaded the GUI client for the Bionic wallet and I am confused about the Blockchain Synchhing. It says nothing is connected and there is a color circle spinning. When I go into Advance and click Rebuild Block Chain there is not visual prompt. What am I suppose to do? Is it synching and I need to leave it running for a couple of days? Is my client out of date?

You should download the official snapshot. That gets you most of the way there

Also make sure you have the last version. which should be 3.7.11.0

If you go this route as its the fastest , when you extract the snapshot.zip you will be replacing all files and folders that are included in the snapshot. It will ask you if you want to overwrite blk0001.dat and other files/folders YES along with the rest it asks about overwriting.

Synchronizing from zero takes a very long time, I would expect 1-2 days on an ADSL connection.
If you are properly connected to the Gridcoin network you will see the number of "Blocks" increase every few minutes on the wallet summary page. The block count is now over 1,200,000.
Rebuilding the chain will reset synchronization from zero and start again, this feature can fix problems if your copy of the block chain gets corrupted. Alternatively the option to Download Blocks will open a new window that downloads and installs a snapshot of the block chain which will speed up the synchronization process.
Having a recent version of the Gridcoin client is important, installer packages for the latest version are available at https://gridcoin.us/ near the bottom of the page.
If you already have the latest client and can't connect to the network then you should check to see if your firewall or virus protection software might be blocking the program.

Do not use items from the Advanced menu. Even if they would work, they do not do what is expected. The official snapshot is the preferred way to initially sync.
You need Connections for the wallet to work. If no connections appear after 30 minutes of runtime, you may need to "addnode" to config file or console.
Of course you need Internet connection for it to work.
