When is Einstein going to be re-enabled on gridcoin? This is a major project that some of us have been running for years, but it's been delisted for several months now.

Based on discussions on Slack:
The issue is caused by the GDPR implementation in Europe. As a consequence, Einstein@home has restricted the information access so that they are able to tell the authorities who is consuming the personal data that they explicity publish in order to protect themselves from a legal perspective.
The Gridcoin development team (@ifoggz) is currently creating a tool (scraper) that will allow the extraction of required information from E@H's website so that the project can be whitelisted again. The tool is currently in testing with a few minor modifications to be done.
As a side note, Primegrid is also restricting the access to personal data but fortunately the same tool can be used with this project as well.

Thanks for the info. Is there any ETA on when it will be re-whitelisted?

They cut themselves off, hence the poll: https://gridcoinstats.eu/poll/poll_on_new_boinc_project_whitelist_mandatory_requirement_-_stats_exports

I think there is a huge difference between cutting off their community and cutting off "random" anonymous request to their server. Only the latter has happened. Pretty much every statistics site big and small has been or will be granted access; Gridcoin too.
The poll is fine and right to decide what are the needs on the side of the gridcoin community. But I feel a kind of hostility coming with that and comments like yours. They're just trying to follow the law in the safest way. We should respect their decision.

The way WCG implements it imo is a lot better. They give the user an option to allow anonymous access to their profile.
