I've noticed this too, and it's not just small blogs or comments either, in recent weeks I've noticed a few articles about the energy requirements of Bitcoin mining cropping up in the New Scientist, The Guardian, and the BBC.

Well, i only know about the german tech sites: Those are heise.de, computerbase, golem. I think one needs to be ready. Usually the comment section receives attention for a day and than its dead. The best is to respond immediately when one does spot a topic.
