If Viktor Bout rejoins his version of society, it won't be long until THOUSANDS are dead because of him. He sells guns, bombs, explosives, military hardware, to the highest bidder around the world. Rebels, terrorists, criminals, they're all his customers.
Simple question.
How many deaths will occur because Brittney made it home?
How many dead in return for her, alive and free?
HOW MANY must die before anyone puts up a hand and says wait, maybe this will kill too many innocents, maybe it isn't WORTH this...?
I'm just asking. Because there are going to be a LOT of dead people, INNOCENT dead people, if Viktor Bout returns to his life of arms dealing.
What is most concerning, is not just the gravitas of his release, but the timing. In case you have been living under a rock for the last few months, Russia has committed one atrocity after the other, just the other day, a video emerging of a man being castrated alive, and then shot and buried immediately after.
In a world where no action results in an overall positive outcome, would it not be prudent to consider the one which impacts, and affects people the least negatively across the whole world?
We have to get our heads out of our asses and stop pretending that the world will be kosher and the Griner incident is an isolated case with no subsequent consequences. The thing is, there will be consequences, and far dire ones at that.
