We have all heard that flax seed is amazing for us right? Flax seed is considered one of the major sources of Omega-3 fatty acids. It contains a lot of alpha-linoleic acid (ALA), which helps with heart health. However not all preparations of flaxseeds are nutritionally equal, flaxseeds tend to loose a lot of their nutritional value in the processing techniques and for optimum health it is recommended we grind our own. Thankfully this is really easy to do by pulverising whole flaxseeds/ Linseeds in a coffee grinder or using the milling device on the nutribullet. It is recommended to consume milled flaxseeds within 20 minutes for the optimum benefits.
