Welcome to the first edition of my idea series: The #SteemianHungerGames
Evening everyone.
This idea is encouraged from something I read by either @whatageek or @solarguy. Essentially it was that in order to grow Steem we need to create websites under the Steem banner for the communities. While I agree we need to advertise the actual site. We need to get in the habit of site wide interactions and competitions. If we make it a game to be active and recruit our friends then we will be able to grow it as the games stakes get bigger with each rendition.
Here's the play.
One member of each of the most popular/biggest communities volunteer as tribute for the #SteemianGames (name not set in stone).
These games will put the tributes through a string of competitions for the glory of their District. And most importantly the winning group's active members will have a cache of Steem showered on them.
Depending on how many tributes are competing the number of stages are subject to change.
THE FIRST LEG: STORYTIME
The tributes are charged with writing a flash fiction based on that Game's story theme. They will email their flashfiction to a neutral member. This person will post the stories in one blog post.
They will purposefully not say who wrote what.
A poll will be conducted on the stories. The story with the least number of votes is eliminated.
Bonus points if we can have a screen scrawl of the eliminated groups as they are eliminated.
The following legs can be any and all contest ideas until we are down to two Tributes left.
From that point on it will be sudden death. Haven't figured out what yet.
Stay tuned for future posts where I try and flesh out this idea. Comment below if you have something you want me to add!
It seems to me a very good idea, the only thing that if a user gives the post so that it publishes another, it can generate some discrimination. Because if I choose someone I know that every time he gets 200 votes, it would not be fair.

Ohh. By neutral party it'd be a member of the steem staff. And all of the stories will be on one post and a poll will be attached. People who see the post vote on their favorite of the stories . That should take away the bias you're worried about.
