Mission
This proposal aims at increasing the steemit population tremendously, monopolizing the steem and steemit market in Nigeria, and Africa in the nearest future.
It also targets giving the steem market a major boost and at the same time, providing a means of sustainable living for thousand of Nigerians, who are either unemployed, or wish to live their dreams.
The final aim is to encourage investors and partnership with possible/prospective investors on the long run.
Summary
The proposed Steemit In Nigeria, consists of steemians involved in the planning, like @ehiboss, @destinysaid, @mediahousent, @illuminatus, @gbenga, @arcticfoe, @jade56 and so many others who have decided to spend their lives improving the quality of living of others as well as well as helping the community grow in any way possible.
Meetings have been conducted by the members listed above and many more towards the execution of the event slated for November this year in preparation for the new year meet up event for the new members, in order to do follow up and plan subsequent events.
The first day of the event which is a conference, aims at creating proper orientation of the steemit and steem system. To groom them on some do's and donts, and to also clarify any doubut the new recruits may have. We hope to feature a
- Question and answer session,
- Video and slide presentation on what steemit is really all about,
- Video and slide presentation on the sign up process,
- Video and slide presentation on the use of tags,
- Video and slide presentation on how to follow,
- Video and slide presentation on promoting posts properly,
- Video and slide presentation on avoiding plagiarism,
- Video and slide presentation on recruiting more people,
The day two of the event will be a party, hopefully a pool party with steemit customized vests to attract attention and also help participants engage one another socially. A facebook and Whatsapp group will be created for the Nigerians to meet up and discuss steemit.
We are of a strong conviction that an event like this will be a game changer in the steemit ecosystem, and a huge boost to the community and value of it's official currencies (STEEM and SBD), with more people using and trading and investing in them.
Problem
An event of this magnitude requires the maximum support of the community, as a lot of individuals claim they want to help or are helping but do not really do much and as such creates unhealthy rivalry amongst those who genuinely want to help and those who are using such posts to generate money.
I have had to go through abgreat deal in educating the people I have introduced to steemit over the course of a few weeks in the proper ideology of steemit. A lot of people perceive it as a ponzi scheme or a matrix system where you have to bring new people to get higher pay and recognition, due to the bad experiences from such ventures as in the case of the MavrodI Mondial Moneybox (MMM) which gave participants 30% of their monthly investment plus the initial investment monthy. The crash ran people into losses worth hundreds of millions on naira, if not billions last year. Some even perceive steemit as one of those get rich quick schemes, so great care and experience has to factor in when presenting steemit to such people, hence the serious need for the event.
Solution
With the above list of problems, the solution is a platform where future steemians can interract with the those already in the community under an environment where everyone can freely voice their minds, and have their fears allayed.
The mindset of those being introduced also matters as they need to be clear about so many things such as:
- Steemit is not a get rich quick scheme
- Nobody will collect a dime for anything
- The need to also invest in the community
- The value of creativity
- Greed and plagiarism will be frowned upon
The list goes on but I have to try and keep it brief because of others who have put forth developmental proposals.
Desired outcome
The targeted outcome is for Nigeria and the Nigerian market to be a key player in the development of steem and steemit. The hope is to prodice about 20-30% of the total population of steem and steemit investors and users in general by introducing to a generation of creative thinkers and talented individuals whose talents and creativity might be untapped yet.
In short, a steemy future for all.
Cost
The cost of the event is valued at around 9079 SBD, however, we came up with an ideaas to how the management of steemit does not have to come up with the total cost of the programme.
The idea which we prefer is for all the posts about the event to be properly given attention until the event. That way we can generate enough to fund the event and others without putting the strain on the management of steemit totally. If the whales give our posts full support, we will generate enough.
Below is the cost breakdown of the event using today's SBD conversion rate at an estimated figure (not checked for inflation)
- Steemit shirts for the first 200 volunteers as added bonus for the after party, about 1320 SBD using today's steem dollar conversion rate)
- Hall rent for the event which is about 2186 SBD
- Food for candidates pegged at 1.1 SBD per head about 1092 SBD
- Advert/Publicity of event about 874 SBD
- Certificate of participation for 500 participants at about 328 SBD
- After party set up and booking around 3279 SBD for execution
Total is about 9079 SBD.
Spread Steemit throughout the World!!!!

Using SBD to calculate the prices needed is not logical, SBD as of right now and all cryptos are volatile, prices are unstable, what you think you may need may drop to not being adequate, using a standard monetary value like the dollar or naira, will be much better
