Adventures With Pepe- Sella Bay

in guam •  7 years ago

Featuring Richie! 😊 On this new adventure we go to the trail right off the Sella Bay Overlook. Some sights we visit on our hike are the Spanish Bridge, an ancient Chamoru village, and the Spanish Oven.
The bridge was built sometime around the 18th century... it is an amazing structure that still stands strong today. The bridge was constructed as part of the unfinished coastal highway project the Spanish created to connect Umatac with the capital of Hagåtña.
The Spanish Oven is all that remains of a Spanish settlement located in that area.
The ancient Chamoru village of Sidya, was abandoned about 200 years ago and its latte stones and lusong are what remains visible today.
