Learn Guitar: A Aeolian Spacing

in guitar •  7 years ago

Today we will discuss A Aeolian Spacing, which is the 6th mode, it is usually the basis of a minor pentatonic scale. All the notes in the Aeolian mode are the same as C Ionian, but simply a different order. Instead of starting on the C one would start on A, thus the notes would be A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A.

The intervals would be 6, 7, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in reference to Ionian, but instead it is better to look at the 6 as a 1, thus the intervals would be 1, 2, b3, 4, 5, b6, b7, 1.

The spacing between the intervals remains the same no matter whether we are from the perspective of Ionian or Aeolian or any of the five others. The spacing would be w, h, w, w, h, w, w,

The chord one would play would thus be a minor chord due to the 1, b3 and 5. Tomorrow we will discuss the interval spacing of the 7th and final mode. Then we will discuss common interval patterns before moving on to the next section which will teach ye how to solo and make music and other modifications such as the harmonic and melodic modifications. I will then go into a few different common chords and a few other things. Then I will re produce everything so much better quality and get website and have really great lessons for you to have and use however you want whether learning or teaching by the end of March.

As always, thank you so much steem!!!

These are great small lessons. The key to learning anything is making small goals. Practice this key until you've some what mastered it and move on to the next one. The first one is always the hardest to get. Just like anything in life.

That's true, what is nice with guitar, at lest when you avoid the lower frets, the key patterns just shift up or down the fret board, so only have to get the scale down.

That such an understatement lol , but so true at the same time .
