Good afternoon friends! I’m about to put some new power tubes in my Engl Powerball, as the sound quality has degraded and all the signs point to worn out power tubes. So, I picked up some matches 6L6 Ruby Tubes from Musicians Friend (which are a great bang for the buck) and will be installing them today. Based on the reviews, these tubes are an upgrade over the stock Engl ones. I will post a video sometime soon!
I've not had to change tubes yet. Only got my first tube amp a couple of years back and it hasn't been used that much. I guess it will happen eventually

Yes, eventually. But if you don’t use it that much and don’t crank it your tubes will last years.
