These scale shapes really help you to start moving around the fretboard. I learned them from the great LA based guitarist/teacher Sid Jacobs. They work great for connecting positions and creating long 'shred' lines equally.
The fingerings repeat every two strings, so once you've learned the first seven note pattern you just start two frets higher/two strings higher from your original starting point.
The first fingering starts on the fifth note of the scale 'G' and the pattern is 1-1-3-4 on the lower string then 1-3-4 on the next string. Creating a G7 or Mixolydian sound.
Fingering 2 is Am (Aeolian) that favourite of rock and shred guitarists. Jazzers may want to consider it as a Dm/Dorian Pattern.
Happy Practise/shredding/Noodling.
