According to the official determination of the China Seismic Network, an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 occurred at 13:41 on February 22 in Weining County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, with a focal depth of 10 km, the epicenter at 26.83 degrees north latitude and 104.19 degrees east longitude.

Historical earthquakes: According to the catalogue of quick report of China Seismological Network, 134 earthquakes with magnitude 3 or above have occurred in the past five years in the vicinity of the epicenter. The largest earthquake occurred on August 3, 2014 in Ludian County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province (90 kilometers from the epicenter).
