Did you know that Tom Hanks did not collect a salary from his role in Forrest Gump, when the contracts were negotiated?
He instead elected to be paid a percentage of the profits from the film, if there were any.
This was the exact trivia factoid:
"Tom Hanks was not paid for this film. Instead, he took a percentage of the film's gross, which ultimately netted him in the region of 40 million dollars."
