After the most recent and might I remind you, most deadly school shooting in U.S. history, many turned to various, sometimes even wild, ideas of keeping schools safe or at least making them "safer" in the future.

*One such idea was training for and arming of select teachers, that were, already gun owners, ex-law enforcement or military. But individuals which because of there already existing training, would not mind having the added responsibility of protecting their classrooms if and when an active shooter were on campus and headed their way.
*Another idea, perhaps a little far out on the crazy meter, was arm and train all teachers and allow them to carry that weapon, concealed on their person.
*While another suggested turning U.S. school entry and exit ways into TSA-like security check points. As students, teachers and other faculty enter, they would pass through metal detector, body scanners, and a table which they would be required to open bags up on to show contents to an trained officer before moving forward.
*And one more suggested passing laws which ban all guns in America, Period!

It seems no one really has an answer each side of the argument being had can agree too, yet we can all agree, something has to and must be done and done now. Not tomorrow, a week from now, a year, nor passed on down the road, allowing our children or theirs to deal with it in their times. However, it appears one school at least has been and is getting it right. It may not be perfect, but damn it, it's an amazing idea and solution that doesn't seem to be getting much airtime...

Here are a few links to arguments of both sides:
