Why ban guns?

Humans will always kill each other regardless of how we trying to take away the means to do so. Since 2010, there have been more than 1,900 reports of attacks involving corrosive fluids in London. They were used in 458 crimes last year, compared to 261 in 2015, according to Met Police figures. Lets also not forget that most terrorist attacks are being carried out with knives, vehicles, and explosives. I believe that if more people carried guns the three knife wielding terrorists in London would have been stopped much sooner with less loss of life.

As for me, I would rather be shot than have acid spayed in my face.

Of course her face would have looked far worse had that been bullets and not acid. Hmmm...And to be sure that if the attackers had been carrying automatic weapons then the body count on both sides would have been much higher. We have plenty of guns in citizens hands in the US. It doesn't do anything to prevent gun attacks on a regular basis.

I am with you on no one should have automatic wespons. But I strongly believe all of us who could pass a mental stability test should have the right to own a gun to defend ourselves.

If such a test could be created then I am for it. I grew up with guns and respect their power. But I'm afraid most people who want to use them or already have them do not have the same respect. Countries like the UK and AU have already been down that path before and walked away from gun ownership. The murder rate is laughably low compared to the US. Access to guns must have something to do with it although having mentally unstable people with access to guns is probably even more important of a factor. Thank you for posting.
