I believe USA has a very strong and effective educational system. I feel our learning transforms us to become the individual, as we age. There have been life experiences in my past that have held me back from doing many things in the past. For example, I got fired from a job where I worked for a year in US. Now, I ensure not to step into a zone that could get me fired. So, when I look at news flash on shootings involving regular citizens, I find it really difficult to understand.
America has a vast network of stress management alternatives. The process of mental health could be taken to the next level with support from counselors, psychologists and psychiatrists. So, the question that I ask is why do some individuals not opt for these resources. Some of these services are free and available online with no disclosures of personal identity in any way. It seems possible that extreme stress could be a reason for incidents of someone picking up a gun to consider it an option. Extreme form of stress could be the reason for behaviors not considered acceptable in society. Can these stresses not be managed by taking external support to ensure they do not reach to points of extreme behavioral outbursts. This might be easy said than done, i guess.
Resolving all the issues that trigger stress might be extremely difficult. So, could there be a another way to resolve the issue of stress. As a society or community, could there be a way to increase our stress handling capabilities. It is like replacing the glass that I use to drink water with a much bigger size that can hold more in it. Every time I go to drink water from it, I increase my intake of water. Another example considering my food intake could be reducing the size of the bowl or plate I use to eat food. Does this make sense, I don’t know. If someone reads these thoughts, do let me know if this monologue makes sense, because if it does, we might be a step closer to understanding the issues that lead to something that is definitely undesirable in any society.
