"Gun nuts" like me don't care how many guns lawmakers think are "too many"

I own a lot of guns. It isn't "necessary" for me to own as many guns as I do just like it isn't necessary for a gaming fan to own hundreds of games. In the world I want to live in it shouldn't be up to any governing body how many of anything I am allowed to own. The reason for my arsenal is not because I am preparing for anything, I just like them. The liberals I know from college would state that a person doesn't need 20 guns but therein lies the fundamental difference between myself and a liberal: There is no limit that should be determined by anyone about how much of anything I am allowed to have.

Thankfully I live in a part of the United States that has very free laws as far as gun ownership is concerned and this is very unlikely to change anytime soon. In fact, when the federal government talks about restricting gun ownership moves get made in our State legislature to counteract them if it is possible. We aren't exactly Texas as far as gun liberty is concerned, but we are close.

I think that North Carolina is unique in this regard because we are considered a red-leaning swing-state. We regularly elect Democrats and also occasionally vote blue in Presidential elections. However, even the Democrat leaders in this state realize that the population will quickly turn on them if they start to infringe on the 2nd Amendment and very few state legislators will even make an attempt and adjusting this.

I had to look up who Tim Kennedy is but I agree with him, kind of. 40 guns is well beyond how many I have or really anyone I know aside from a few collectors. I have 14 guns and only regularly use 3 of them. The others were just things I wanted to buy and I will admit that the only reason why I bought an AR-15 was because a decade ago Obama started talking about banning them. I likely wouldn't have purchased this particular long gun had it not been for that publicity.

At the end of the day though, I feel as though my state and especially the county that I live in is one of the few sensible places with a large population that exists in the entire country. I don't know what happened at certain State lines but it's pretty remarkable how different political viewpoints in this country are based on geography.

In the meantime, I am always packing, as are a majority of the people that live in the community I live in and lo' and behold we also have some of the lowest crime rates in North Carolina as well as the nation. This is something I think that some liberals will never understand. Guns do not commit crimes, people do. Where I live, it is precisely because of the high level of gun ownership that we have very low crime rates and we aim to keep it that way.

In the meantime I will continue to say to others that they can do whatever they want in their lives as long as it doesn't threaten me or my friends and family... on and just as a reminder, you have absolutely nothing to fear from my guns unless you bring it on yourself. We have "Castle Doctrine" in North Carolina so if you come to my place with bad intentions... well, you have only yourself to blame when i defend it, legally, with lethal force.

I have yet to receive an intelligible answer

because there isn't one. It's just political talking points so that our masters can keep and expand their own power.
