FYI, I'm currently in the process of migrating from YouTube to DTube, so it's possible you've seen some of my content previously on YouTube, but I'm actively creating and uploading new content as well. I was under the impression that I verified my account when I first created my account. Is there an additional verification process that takes place later?

I see, I always recommend take some time and do a short little intro acknowledging dtube/steemit, doesn't have to be a long or fancy thing but just letting people know it is actually you, there are a lot of people that can just take someones content old content from youtube and post to dtube. So unless its 100% verifiable it won't get an upvote at least from what I have seen, just trying to help out sorry if I came off the wrong way. I really like what you do and dtube prefers new content to be fair with other platforms even if it's posted elsewhere not a problem. There is nothing wrong with uploading old videos they just most like won't get rewarded.
