Yup, it's a 10/22. I was around the same age when my dad gave me that .22 for Christmas. Many thousands of rounds through her and she still runs like a champ.

Same. They are good rifles. I always thought field stripping them was kind of a pain though but that might just be a problem for me because I like to clean my guns every time I shoot them if I can. Either way the 10/22 is a great rifle to start with.
