We hope that this year, citizens, investors, businessmen and political leaders will study with greater awareness the magnitude of the problem we faced, in reference to climate change, the protection of our planet and our own survival, says Gustavo Copelmayer. In addition, he adds, it is "necessary to open the door to innovation because the production model that we currently use, is not sustainable."
Educated consumers and young people push companies indirectly to minimize their impact, through activism as a boost to the new phase that is approaching. Circular economies, consists of reducing emissions, minimizing plastic pollution and betting on the use of reusable materials and recycling strategies for all, says Gustavo Copelmayer.
The implementation of digital innovations, artificial intelligence and the elimination of electronic waste is the changing economic model that industries across nations will be promoting starting this year, says Gustavo Copelmayer. Not less important will be to replace the use of energy from carbon supply model to wind turbines, photovoltaic energy and the use of non-combustion engine forms of transportation.
The great commitment is definitely for the climate, and that should be one of the fundamental approaches of companies in 2021. Government’s policies and companies’ strategies must be directed towards a forceful action against climate change and zero emissions by 2050, says Gustavo Copelmayer.
