Al-Bukhari narrated from Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu anhu from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he said:

من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا يؤذي جاره, واستوصوا بالنساء خيرا, فإنهن خلقن من ضلع, وإن أعوج شيئ في الضلع أعلاه, فإن ذهبت تقيمه كسرته, وإن تركته لم يزل أعوج, فاستوصوا بالنساء خيرا.

"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not disturb his neighbor, and do good to women. Because, they are created from the ribs, and the most crooked ribs are the top. If you straighten it, then you break it and if you leave it, it will still be crooked. Therefore, do good to women. "

Al-Bukhari narrates also from Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu anhu, that the Messenger of Allaah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

المرأة كالضلع, إن أقمتها كسرتها, وإن استمتعت بها استمتعت بها, وفيها عوج.

"She is like a rib; if you straighten it, you break it, and if you have fun with it, then you can have fun with it, wherein there is a crook. "

Al-Bukhari narrated from Ibn 'Umar Radhiyallah anhu, he said: "We are afraid to speak and joke with our women (wife) during the time of the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam for fear of going down a verse to us. When the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam had died, we were chatting and joking. "

Ahmad narrated from Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu anhu from Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he said:

إني الضعيفين: اليتيم والمرأة.

"I'm really worried about the rights of two weak people over you: orphans and women."

Al-Hakim narrated from Samurah Radhiyallahua anhu in marfu ':

خلقت المرأة من ضلع, فإن تقمها تكسرها فدارها, تعش بها.

"The woman was created from the ribs; if you straighten it, then you break it. So gently bend over him, then you will be able to live with him. "

Al-Hafiz said in al-Fat-h: "This hadeeth contains the suggestion that it be gentle to soften the heart. This hadith also contains a way of leading women, that is by forgiving them and be patient with their crookedness. And who wants to straighten them out, is to take advantage of them. Because every human being needs a woman; he felt at ease with him and made him the support of his life. It is as if he says: 'Taking their benefits will not be achieved except by being patient with it.

In fact, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam memukatkan against them at the end of his life, and it was on Wada' pilgrimage.

As at-Tirmidhi narrated from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam:

ألا واستوصوا بالنساء خيرا, فإنهن عوان عندكم -أي أسيرات- ليس تملكون منهن شيئا غير ذلك, إلا أن يأتين بفاحشة مبينة, فإن فعلن فاهجروهن في المضاجع واضربواهن ضربا غير مبرح, فإن أطعنكم فلا تبغوا عليهن أن لا يوطئن فرشكم من تكرهون, ولا يأذن في بيوتكم لمن تكرهون, ألا وحقهن عليكم أن تحسنوا إليهن في كسوتهن وطع امهن.

"Remember, do good to women. Because, they are (like) prisoners by your side. You are not in charge of them one bit other than that, except when they commit nostalgia. If they do, then leave them in their beds and beat them with unhurtful blows. If he obeys you, then do no harm to them. Nor can they include who you do not like to your bed and home. Know that their right to you is that you do good to them (with sufficient) their clothes and food. "
