Stocks often rise slow and drop fast because of their maturity in liquidity. When liquidity is not mature, like Cryptos, they rise fast and fall slow.

Good luck. Take a look at also whaleshares.io which is very similar to Steem. There the group and environment is different and perhaps more favorable to someone just starting out.
