solutions:

  1. keep a minimum amount for everyone contributing, so that there's no one left with virtually nothing
  2. let the voting/payment depend not on only clicking a "like" (or upvote) button, but the actual viewcount or even "pagetime" as well ..

until the system itself is created as (or modified to be) a reflection of equality, people will always complain in reflection of a lack of self-worth, which is so prevalent in this world!
