My son and I went for a walk in the woods of Stanley Park. Most visitors don't realize that the best parts are hidden inside its forest. Massive second growth trees, abundant and often edible berries, nurse logs, and the gloriously beautiful Beaver Lake. Not to mention lots of wildlife but nothing that will eat you. Bonus.

I don't like the chances of any fish in the vicinity of this Blue Heron though. Talk about a master fisherman and a gobble guts. He sure picked an ideal spot to throw out his metaphorical line.

Beaver lake is one of the most beautiful natural spots in the world, especially when the water lily and lotus and shore irises are in bloom. Alas the camera never quite does it justice, There is so much splendour going on that photos tend to come out a mix between a Monet and Pollack. Great for the canvas maybe not so much for pixels.

Score one for humans. Take that AI:)

AI reponds with ... I am paraphrasing and cleaning up the language ... paint this in five minutes.

Can't talk AI. I'm sure it said nice things lol! I still have to see a lake of lotus and lilies in bloom.

It is my hope that you do soon:) Thank you, Lee:)

Wednesdaywalk ? Or walkwednesday. They both are correct.

I think the walk comes first:)

Water lily's! I didn't know there were any there... It's been a long time :)

Yes, Vancouver is quite mild:)

I'm wanting to move back more and more

The propery value is through the roof and then there are the rainy winters. It is super nice right now though:)

Oh... i have no idea what to write now... I have heard it's super expensive. I wish i could have my grandparents home on Sherbrooke St. and sleep on the little bed on the back sun porch with all the windows under the cherry trees in spring and summer. A fire in the fire place in winter...

That sounds lovely:)

Hey nice photos and interesting ai poetry or whatever that is lol.
Be well

Thank you:):):) Glad you enjoyed:)

Ha haa, love your code thing. Amazing our photos are stored in that way. I'll never fully understand all of this, but sure appreciate that it DOES work. SO much cheaper than film, and so instant. And as you say, nothing can compare to the real thing. I've never been to Stanley Park, but have heard only great things. Now it is a must see place on my list. Thanks for sharing a gorgeous day out with us. Water lilies are SUCH a fascinating plant.

They do have something special about them. Thank you, DD:)

Wow, nice and colorful lotus photos in the marsh hidden zen.

Thanks, Kam. So glad you enjoyed:)

Lovely haiku, and the photography

I called it "Teratai" in my country

LOL… AI poetry. Great pictures. I especially like the water lilies.

Thank you, Denise:) Do you think they are lilies? My research says that the main difference between the two is that lilies (flower and leaves) float on the surface. If you look close both the flower and leaves are emergent and have actually broken the surface of the water but just barely. They are growing so close together that it is hard to truly tell.

I don't really know. I only know that the art museum in Raleigh has a sculpture garden around what they term a waterlily reflecting pond – and they are what you've photographed.

I think I will leave it as lotus for now. They come in pink as well but research maybe a little more:)

I love them whatever the genus. They make you feel like your in a Monet painting.

They do:)

You know I think I will go with lily. Who knew haiku could be so hard:)

LOL! At least with "lily" no one will be confused that you're waxing poetic about the car!

Haha ... that would be okay:)

Pryde, you are so fortunate to have the lovely Stanley Park to explore. I’ve never been there but have heard lots about it’s beauty. You captured some beautiful water flowers 😊. Thanks for the coding. I’ll forward it to ET.

Haha. We are jokesters coast to coast:) Thank you, Jo:)

Wait... Did you just forget how to spell my username? 🤣

I am sorry, Melinda. I am confused. Did I spell your name somewhere incorrectly?

Just joking about the 010100's of your binary code! Melinda010100

Ahhh ... I am slow on the uptake tonight:)
