Haiku #10: Fiery-tempered Volcano

in haiku •  7 years ago

Very few can match the intensity of an erupting volcano. Above water or underwater; the destructive force of an eruption is almost immeasureable. This is the very reason that people in ancient times consider a volcano a god - a hot-tempered and fiery god.

Erupting with the greatest intensity

Molten earth, ash and fire; fury unleashed

Volcano - a sleeping dragon awakened

A Haiku is a Japanese poem which can also be known as a Hokku. A Haiku poem is similar to a Tanka but has fewer lines. A Haiku is a type of poetry that can be written on many themes, from love to nature.
