Silver Coils

It’s the last day of Spring, and the shortest night of the year. That and tomorrow night. Tomorrow will be the longest day of the year, after which, the days will start getting shorter again; i.e., Winter’s coming :)

It seems we’re not going to get the same long sunny summer we had last year. That’s fine. It’s probably better for the environment that way. The vegetation is looking much greener than this time last year, and we’re getting a LOT more rain. Last year was pretty dry.

Talking of summer, it’s time for a haircut. I feel lucky not to be balding. My dad is bald, and he was half-way there by my age. Apparently it’s inherited from your mother’s line. My grandpa wasn't and maternal uncles aren't bald, so it’s looking good for me I guess :)

Grey hairs though, that’s a whole different thing. In the past year alone, I think I have grown 10x as many. It makes sense that they’d just switch on almost in one go since they’re basically dying hair follicles.

They are way more noticeable on people with very dark hair like mine. Even more so on people with tight curls/coils.

Since it’s summer, maybe I’ll do what many people do and just get my barber to shave the whole thing off. Why not? I’ve only done that once a long time ago. There are photos somewhere, but I don’t think I’d ever post them here haha.
