A drug for osteoporosis may treat baldness

Scientists have found that a drug to treat osteoporosis may be a hope to treat baldness and hair loss. The name of compound WAY-316606, which targets a protein that stops hair growth.
The study was conducted by scientists at the University of Manchester in Britain, and published in the scientific journal Plus.
Researchers believe the discovery - which is to be tested in humans - could open up a whole new approach to treating hair loss in both men and women.
In the study, hair follicles were treated with medication for six days, and follicles soon entered an active hair growth stage.
