My wife is donating her hair

I have known my wife for over three years. The moment I met her I noticed her beautiful dark brown hair. Oh so long it was and over the last three years it has grown quite a bit to nearly the tail end of her backside. She's been talking about donating her hair for a while now. And you know what? Today is the day she gets her hair cut, colored and designed to a new style I am awaiting to see (in a few hours). I thought about the movie G.I. Jane, where Demi Moore shaved her head but that was for the military and others reasons I do not recall what the movie was about. I am sure my wife will not come home with a bald head. I am truly happy though, that she is donating her hair to little children who have gone through cancer treatment and lost her hair. I wish I could do the same but I have about two inches of hair. It is an awesome move of courage to cut off inches of hair and give it to an organization who will help make children feel beautiful again. The name of the organization she is donating to is "freewigs4kids" if anyone is interested. I am curious if anyone has donated hair or know of one who has benefited from a hair donation. It is wild how the look of hair on someone can vastly change appearance.
