Today I had an excruciatingly long hair appointment (7 hours!), and wanted to share the results.
I have long been a proponent of rocking your natural hair and have been wearing my wild curly hair mostly natural for the better part of ten years. But last week I cut off a few inches of my already short hair and instantly regretted it.
My hair grows soooooo slow, so I thought I would get in touch with certain parts of my heritage and get my hair braided like I used to back in the day. The style I settled on was medium box braids with long extensions. While I love my natural hair, I have also been very jealous of the long, flowing hair of some of my friends, and I know the only way I can achieve it is through fakery. And I was pleased with the results, although I suspect I’ll be back to my natural mane before long.
