I USED DIFFERENT SHAMPOO AND I FOUND ONE I LOVE TO MY HAIR, THEY HELP MY HAIR MORE

I've been wanting to eradicate shampoo from my life for a while now and have tried a few different methods including the baking soda and ACV method, but it left my hair more brittle and I just wasn't happy. I've quit coloring my hair and going natural, so you'll notice the pretty obvious line where the color stopped (back in September). Today I tried something I've been reading up on and I love it so far. I'm anxious to see how long I can go between washes and definitely am seeking input/advice from others on methods you've used. I still work a professional job outside the home and just can't go weeks and weeks without some type of washing my hair. This week, I've worked from home more than typical so hadn't washed my hair in three days ... and I have pretty oily hair, so it looks awful. The first photo is my bottle method. The first three head pictures are the "before" - it's gross, sorry. The last two are the after. Here's what I did. I took one fresh egg (not store bought) and beat it with a little cold water and put it in that malibu bottle with a flip cap. The second malibu bottle I put cold water and peppermint and rosemary essential oils (a few drops each). I took a normal shower, but ran the water for my head pretty cold and got it good and wet. I then distributed the egg/water mixture around my scalp standing outside the stream of water and rubbed it thoroughly through my hair and scrubbed my scalp with my fingertips. I worked the egg mixture all the way to the ends of my strands of hair and then let that sit on my hair about three minutes while I washed the rest of me. I then put the water pretty chilly again and rinsed my hair thoroughly and then added the water essential oil mixture (for scent as I've read that the egg wash can leave an egg odor behind and that's not desired). I let that sit a minute after scrubbing it through my hair and scalp and then did a final rinse. I dried my hair as normal, but haven't styled it yet. I am pretty pleased for a first timer. I'm anxious to see how many days I can go. From what I understand from reading, you should only do the egg wash once every 7 days. Anyone have tips on what to do in the interim other than wash with only water and maybe use a dry shampoo in between (I make my own from cornstarch, a little cocoa - because I have darker hair - and essential oils of peppermint and rosemary). I'm going to try to remember to take pictures every day and I'm not promising I'll be able to stand waiting a whole week before "washing" again, lol. We'll just take this one day at a time. Sorry for the super long post. Please feel free to comment and add suggestions!!

Anyone (especially females) would appreciate this post. Interesting that you've tried all sorts of things and that you coloured your hair and are now growing it out. Best to be matural no matter what the fashion. At present I wash my hair with shampoo every other day and if I am home for 3 days use dry shampoo in the interim. Until I can gets used to washing it every week like my older sister does (she never worked outside the home) I cannot abide my oily locks. Have nothing new to offer but applaud you for showing what can be done. By the way you have pretty hair!

Thank you so much, hope it will help better to all girls like me.
