Simply, because it is the first contest I participated in last year when I was new on STEEMIT 😃. I didn't win but I was very happy to participate! It was really fun to dress up and makeup, take pictures and post them.

Este disfraz fue inspirado en Frida Kahlo la cual aparece en la película de Coco, una de las favoritas de mi sobrina, por eso la escogimos, pero es nuestra versión ya que no es totalmente fiel al dibujo original. Mi sobrina quería disfrazarse para el día de Los Muertos y aprovechamos la oportunidad para concursar.
Usamos maquillaje, pinturas no tóxicas y pinceles para pintarle la cara. Para la vestimenta usamos una camisa hecha a a mano y el vestido de mi hermana como falda, también usamos una corona de flores hecha por nosotras con flores reales y de mentira, con algunas mariposas de adorno que solemos usar en el arbolito de navidad jajaja. Y a mi gato como su mascota guardián (todos en la peli tienen un guradián, y pues, este es el suyo :3). Espero disfruten de este post C:

My entry for the HALLOSTEEM MAKEUP CONTEST 2018 by @flamingirl #1 - The Black Widow
That is actually pretty old photoshoot done few years ago, when I was starting my journey to portrait photography. So at that time I have collaborated with amateur make-up artist, who also actually was starting her own carrier and were trying to make a portfolio of attractive make-ups for future possible clients.
So, obviously that was a Halloween eve for such a make-up. Basically idea wasn't mine, but i brought some accessories as usual, trying to make some more interesting portrait.
Photo was shot just at home using movable studio light and backdrop. From my present point of view, we both have achieved pretty cool result that day :)

Few weeks ago had an opportunity to be a model at face-art masterclass of amazing make-up artist from Vilnius, Lithuania. That was two Sundays in a row when She was teaching some basics and some interesting nuances and tricks for Halloween ideas and make-ups.

Here we go with something more than just a make-up, which is quite exceptional by itself. As I have already mentioned, always trying to get utmost from any photoshoot and not be in the borders of shooting only head-shots or only full height.
So at this point took from home some accessories from my own collection, which is very nice replica dagger and very special skeleton gloves. As for the costume we just used white t-shirt and large piece of ornamented material. It looks really much better than a plain black (IMHO of course)

Following previous post when we made makeup and had initial shooting at home with movable studio light, second part was going outside to the forest nearby Klaipeda and try to make something interesting there too.
The dress wasn't too much special, mainly just the black one to complete "The Black Widow" idea and make-up. Just some additional accessories, like necklace with big cross, a lot of candles to make the round on the ground and the flash-fire (taken from one of the vessels calling the port)
No any additional studio light used here, the flash-fire was very bright by itself and in fact it is getting very hot and pretty dangerous to hold in hands for a long time, but we have managed

Soy una persona que le teme a las arañas, capaz mi fobia no sea de gran magnitud como la de algunas personas, por eso quise realizar un maquillaje referente a este tema. Quise enfocarme en ser una chica que tiene un nido de arañas en su interior y poco a poco se va volviendo una de ellas.
Para este maquillaje utilice una telaraña falsa (esas que se usan para decorar) y me la pegué en la cara, también implemente sangre falsa para darle un toque más terrorífico, al principio solo tenía esa idea en mente pero la verdad me parecía muy simple y no plasmaba lo quería expresar, por ende, decidí realizarme un agujero en el cachete dando a entender que de ahí salen las arañas.
Tuve un poco de ayuda de mi buena amiga Photoshop para la realización del fondo y del lente de contacto que tengo en el ojo, dando como resultado final una Chica de las Arañas.

Yet another vision of dark beauty with outstanding make-up or face-art from recent master-class. That one was done by one of the participants and really on a very high level as well.
Idea of the lesson was usage of simple plastic pieces to glue them like a broken glass injuries onto the face. Of course combined with another necessary elements of make-up

Following previous post from today more explaining the Halloween make-up itself, here is how it looked the whole outfit for the photoshoot. I'm always trying to develop an idea much more further, than just a portrait photo. So that was the case as well.
Perfectly matching costume (the corset with a skirt) to complete the idea. Not a handmade, but was lucky to found in a box when bought a bargain of corsets with small defects at e-bay earlier :)

Hello Steemit friends I wanted to use this makeup because I really like the color of the Catrina, also because I am very attracted to the Mexican culture especially as they celebrate the day of the dead as they meet them in the cemetery and bring them the things that most They liked them, this makes me feel that people who die will always live in our hearts.
