Thank goodness...it's finally starting to get chilly. (Who doesn't love a good chill!?) The leaves are turning, the winds have picked up, and the ghosts and monsters have returned to all the stores! Yay!!!
And the bats in my belfry have started putting up decorations. Love it. Earl and Marty. Nice guys. Their Halloween parties are LEGENDARY! Forrest Ackerman, the creator of Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine, even showed up at one of their shindigs in the late '90s, with Michael Keaton, and he said it was the best party he'd been to since Vincent Price died!
What I'm trying to decide is if I want to throw a competing party---challenge Earl and Marty to a Halloween Hootenanny Showdown! I know I've got better Halloween MUSIC than they do, but they have better decorations AND Hollywood connections!!!
Plus, since they are entirely imaginary, they can have DEAD celebrities show up for their festivities! Best we can do is show DVDs on the TV!
Still, it might be fun to throw a party and TRY to compete with the bats... If I use their wild, fantastic throw-downs as INSPIRATION for my real life event, maybe we can come up with a chilling, thrilling, exciting event!
This is all just off-the-cuff daydreaming at this point. I'll need to talk to "The Boss," (Mariah,) and see if she's up for a Halloween party this year. If so, I'll share the party progression with you folks---and Marty and Earl, of course---as we put our plans together---and then let loose! Splendid times are guaranteed for all!!!
Whatever ends up happening, I'm just glad that summer is finally winding down and that the Spoooky season is upon us once again! Mwuuuuha! ha! ha!!!!!
