Halo Infinite

At E3 2018 Microsoft finally gave halo fans a first glimpse at the next game in the reclaimer saga. Titled Halo Infinite, the trailer previewed what appeared to be a ringworld which would fit nicely with Halo 5 Guardians legendary ending.

In the trailer, we see a number of landscape and scenery shots, as well as a group of deer and rhinoceros, looking creatures. I believe that this doesn't have much to do directly with the game and was there to demonstrate the power of the new "slipspace engine". In the second part of the trailer we see a group of marines walking across the beach and into a field with at least two( that we see ) stone rings that seem reminiscent of the halo rings. The soldiers light a flare and the camera zooms out to reveal the Masterchief holding his helmet. From what we can see it appears that 343 has reverted to the old art style from the first three games.

In summary, the game looks like it will take place primarily on a halo ring with a lot of the old U.N.S.C tech. I believe that this is because with Cortana for the most part, we assume, in control of the galaxy using the guardians the Masterchief, the Infinity, and the Arbiter will be unable to receive new weapons and tech from their respective factions. The game is on a halo ring because every self-respecting dictator wants the ultimate weapon and we can all agree that halo rings are the ultimate weapon.
