On Tuesday morning, Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas and Hamas, honored the mothers of prisoners whom the Knesset member insulted when they were on their way to visit their children in Israeli prisons.

Yahya al-Sunwar, the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Haniyeh, attended the meeting with Palestinian women.

Likud MK Oren Hazan, along with young Israelis, objected to an ICRC bus carrying the mothers and relatives of Palestinian prisoners in Nafha prison and cursing their imprisoned children.

"Your son is a dog and you can only visit him again through underground tunnels," Hazan told one of the mothers of the prisoners.

Amani al-Naouq, the media official of the Red Cross in Gaza, said that 22 members of the Palestinian detainees, including four children, went to visit their relatives in Ramon Prison through the Beit Hanoun-Erez crossing.

Israel arrests 300 Palestinian residents of Gaza from some 7,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

Israel allows the mothers of the prisoners to visit their children in the Naveh and Raymond prisons every Monday.

Despite the length and difficulty of the journey, they often end without their destination, and the families return to the Gaza Strip without seeing their relatives in detention because of the Israeli refusal to complete the trip.
