Another point needs to be made about the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian territory.
When you point to individual Israeli soldiers using civilians as human shields, that's terrible, those people should be punished, but, that's grasping at straws in an attempt to draw moral equivalence.
Every military conflict in human history has resulted in individual soldiers freaking out and doing horrible things to people on the other side. The difference is whether or not the use of human shields is an established tactic and policy or something that a few soldiers do that will likely result in harsh punishment.
Hamas has been out and proud for decades that the use of human shields is an established tactic. This isn't an issue of a few Palestinian combatants losing their composure in battle. This is policy. For Israel, it's clearly not policy.
