Hey handball lovers! Croatia is a proud host of the European Handball Championship 2018. And with this I would like to wish luck to all competing countries. The championship started on the 12.1. and the finals are planned for the 28.1. The groups play in four Croatian cities - Zagreb, Varazdin, Porec and Split.
For now 8 matches have been played, and today we expect 4 new matches.
Group A:
- Serbia vs. Sweden
- Croatia vs. Island
Group B:
- Austria vs. France
- Norway vs. Belarus
Lets do a little betting for fun. 😁 What do you expect, who will be the winners today?

I have been watching handball matches for as long as I can remember. That's how it goes when you have an older brother and a sports loving family. I was even born on the night when our Cowboys (Croatian handball national team) were celebrating the first Croatian golden Olympic medal in handball. It wasn't, of course, planned, but it's a nice coincidence. It has always been my favorite sport to watch, as handball is very dynamic and interesting.
One of my favorite memories when it comes to handball is when Croatia was playing qualifications for the World's championship in 2012 in Varaždin, near my hometown. This is where the photos were taken.
