My Christmas tree elaborated with recycled material.

Christmas came, moment to decorate our houses with beautiful decorations, such as: campaigns, crowns, trees, decorated boots, lights, Santa Cloe, mangers, etc. However, those implemented in the houses is bethlehem and the Christmas tree.

  • Bethlehem: It is a scene of the birth of Jesus (in the manger) which contains classic elements such as the baby Jesus, the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, the 3 Magi, shepherds, and animals such as the mule, the ox and the sheep.

  • Christmas tree: It is a pine that represents the Tree of the World, which is decorated with bright spheres that signify the gifts of the earth, lights that signify the Divine Light, and finally crowned with the Star of Bethlehem in the shape of a comet and in the tip of the tree, and also other ornaments that signify the gifts of God to men.

At Christmas we always love decorating our homes. Many people use recycled materials to make beautiful Christmas decorations. Any item or material you have at home serves you, such as: fabrics, sheets, anime, wood, cans, plastic containers, cardboard, etc. You just have to get carried away by the Christmas spirit and create original crafts.

In my case I decided to decorate my house with one of the main symbols of Christmas, the tree, made with recycled material.

The materials used were:

  • Recycled sheet
  • Rolls of paper or of napkins.
  • Silicone.
  • A scissor
  • Adhesive.
  • A scissor.
  • Foami
  • Frost.
  • Cold painting
  • Spray paint.
  • Anime.
  • Christmas decorations.

Step by Step

Step 1:

First we reinforce our roll introducing recycled leaves by the middle and then we paint it.

Step 2:

We measure and cut 3 squares, each one with a different size (20 cm, 16 cm and 12 cm) and in this way we obtain the patterns to make the cones.

Step 3:

We started to roll the sheets to get the cones and add adhesive to hold it.

Step 4:

Once the cones are obtained, we proceed to stick them on the roll, first we paste the larger ones, then the medium and finally the small one, two layers of each one.

Step 5:

After sticking all the cones spray the spray paint.

Step 6:

We make Christmas decorations with recycled material. Paint and decorate as you wish.

Step 7:

Finally we paste the Christmas decorations.

Working with recycled materials turns out to be very fun and very economical, but the best thing of all is that we help to avoid the contamination of the environment.
