The Department Of Energy Has declared an Emergency at the Hanford Nuclear Waste Facility in Washington State! Evacuations have been ordered and people instructed not to drink or eat anything on site!

The mishap occurred atop one of two rail tunnels under a plant located in the middle of the Hanford site. The Energy Department said soil collapsed two to four feet (half to 1.2 meters) over a 400 square foot (37.1 square meters) area. The agency says the rail tunnels are hundreds of feet long, with about eight feet (2.4 meters) of soil covering them. Source ABC News.
