Benefits of wisdom: The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. Proverbs 10:28

The benefits of wisdom are many, and one of them is hope. Hope is a virtue that moves and motivates man, and that sustains him in the worst moments, where there is no hope, there is only sadness, because it is thought that the past was better in every way, and there is no expectation in the future. In other words, there is no wisdom in hopelessness: "Do not say, ´Why were the old days better than these?´ For it is not wise to ask such questions" Ecclesiastes 7:10.
And hope is closely related to the ways of man, because man has to choose between sin and righteousness ("Do to on one what you yourself hate" Tobit 4:15), between foolishness and wisdom. Wisdom as a spiritual gift and as knowledge blesses us and leads us on the path of righteousness, and the Bible affirms about this: "The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day" Proverbs 4:18.
Righteousness is like the dawn tells us the proverb, and this has a meaning; the hope that is that distant light on the road, is the product of progressivity, benevolence, and the continuous improvement. How beautiful it is to live with hope, how beautiful is the path of righteousness, this is the message of the wise man who wrote the Book of Proverbs.
For all this King Solomon left us a saying: "The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing" Proverbs 10:28.
Hope for the righteous is happiness. But the path of sin is like walking in the dark, because whoever walks in the dark stumbles, and falls due to unforeseen destructive events, that is why for the wicked there is no certainty in the future.
The Book of Proverbs calls us to choose, and to seek the best path, because wisdom is a blessing, but foolishness is punishment and perdition.
