The true happiness: Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart

The Book of Psalms teaches us that the prosperity, the wellness, and the true happiness belongs to those who follow God's ways and obey his wise law:
"Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the LORD.
Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart—
they do no wrong
but follow his ways.
You have laid down precepts
that are to be fully obeyed.
Oh, that my ways were steadfast
in obeying your decrees!
Then I would not be put to shame
when I consider all your commands.
I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws.
I will obey your decrees;
do not utterly forsake me." Psalm 119:1-8.

The beatitudes of the book of psalms, in particular Psalm 1, are the anticipation of the teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount.
There are no blessings or rewards for those who follow the path of falsity and lies, but for those who follow the truth and wisdom: "Remove from me the way of lying, And grant me Your law graciously. I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me." Psalm 119:29-30.
But the comprehension of beatitude needs a grace, a charism, we cannot receive the decrees of God with a hardened heart: "Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight." Psalm 119:34-35.
The beatitude that the book of psalms tells us about, is more than being good when it is convenient, beatitude is not a mask or an appearance, it is a behavior that we have to maintain firmly (spiritual gift of fear of God) when things get difficult and the way out of problems does not seem clear: "I will always obey your law, for ever and ever." Psalm 119:44.
The beatitude is the path that leads us to the perfect happiness: "The eternal happiness consists in the vision of God" Thomas Aquinas.
