What is happiness?

What is happiness? Someone asks this question all his life, digging inside himself, looking for ways to achieve it. Some people go with the flow, not thinking about different concepts and the meaning of life.

There are as many people on our planet, as there are opinions. And everyone's happiness is different. For young children, happiness - it's mom and dad around, who love them, scold them to the extent, encourage kisses, tasty sweets and toys.

For a teenager, happiness is respect among his peers at school, having some material possessions that he thinks he just needs.

It could be a fancy phone, a pair of new jeans or sneakers.
But for older people this is not happiness at all. Wouldn't you agree? For them, who have gone through a long and sometimes hard life, happiness is something else. And it is not measured in material terms. For old people, happiness is their children, grandchildren, and it's great happiness if there are great-grandchildren. For them, nothing that can be bought is important. What is important to them is what is not for sale. This is the health of their loved ones, their happiness, their love. What matters to them is the other half, who has walked side by side through years of joy and sadness.

For young people, happiness in the beginning is also more of a material nature. For most having a house, a car, things are important. Then the person thinks he is happy, but over the years it becomes clear that all this is not so important. Happiness is in children, their health, their attitude toward their parents.
Everyone can make their day happy, despite all the difficulties at this stage of life. Happiness to wake up and see this world through the eyes, to touch it. Happiness to meet the sunrise and sunset. A man truly becomes happy when he finds harmony in his soul and body. And it's not about perfect proportions. Happiness is in the mind and heart. You can often observe how unhappy people who seem to have "everything" are and how happy those who have so little of everything are. But they have harmony.

You can find happiness everywhere: in the birdsong, in the starry sky, in the book you read. The main thing is to stop and think about why you are unhappy. Ask yourself what I can do, right now, to be happy. Maybe all you need is hot coffee. Or your happiness is a virtue. Everyone has to find their happiness within themselves...
