Monika: How do I find happiness?

Universal Roots: Who said that happiness must be found?

Can happiness be ever found - has anyone ever found happiness in an object?

We think that happiness can come from objects, but soon enough we realize the illusion of it all, objects can only give you a sense of happiness for a moment because the longing of a desire has vanished - living for the "future" stops when the so called fulfilled desire arrives.

This is why we find a little peace for the moment - no more worrying, chasing, hoping, or longing.

It's actually non-desire which reveals ones own innate happiness, but the mind goes on chasing the next thing that will supposedly give one happiness and the cycle of conflict begins - what 'is' compared to what 'should be' and the 'true' always goes unnoticed.

It's like eating your favorite dessert that you were anticipating, it brings you a sense of comfort - happiness, but if I continued to make you eat it long after you were satisfied what would happen?

That same thing that gave you so much pleasure and happiness has now become a source of pain - eating one more bite would be torture!

How is it that one minute that which brought you so much happiness now brings you so much pain?

Happiness can never be found in objects and if it seemingly does, just know that it is only for a brief moment.

Happiness is your true nature - it's present within you and has never left, you don't have to find it - just stop looking outside of yourself and happiness will be right there!
