Bengaluru - Silicon Valley of India saw its dark times last year on New Year's Eve.There were multiple molestation cases and common people were shocked to see such dark nature of human behaviour on such a joyous occasion. To ensure that such incidents won't happen again this time, the local police kept a heavy monitoring on famous crowded places and installed 300 of the 500 additional CCTV cameras installed in these areas.
The central hub of IT - Whitefiled, had very few cabs available late night on New Year's eve. So, police came to the rescue of stranded people and dropped them off in their vehicles. That night, local police supported more than 100 people by dropping them to their respective homes. Moreover, the also extended the services of Metro till 2am in the morning.
