Welcome to Episode 2 of the Happy Birthday Project, a project dedicated to celebrating the people we love.
Yesterday was our second celebration. It’s rainy weather here, perfect for hot chocolate. We drove to our local mall, made ourselves comfy at a coffee shop, and made some birthday cards.
Buying Hot Chocolate was an extra special adventure, as my kids who can’t quite tie their own shoes were the ones paying. They used gift cards they received for Christmas and had silly little smiles as they pretended to be big kids ordering coffee ☕️.

Afterwards we dropped out Letter off in the mail, and learned that our “card” was considered a parcel because of how I packaged it. It took me seven stamps to mail that wish. Which is fine, except that it means that my Episode 1 card is probably lost in the mail. Or worse, sitting at the post office waiting for the recipient to come pick it up and pay for the postage difference.
I guess I’m not as cool 😎 as I thought ❤️😊.
