Happy new month!

in happynewmonth •  5 years ago

One more month has gone by and and one more #happynewmonth post is made to send my photographic greetings to December and to all of you!

Today it was a gloomy, sunless day but nevertheless, I had to keep my personal challenge to take at least one new picture on the first day of each and every month and share it as my happy new month wishes!

So when I went in the morning to feed the chickens I took my camera along with no specific plan of what I was going to take pictures of.

I didn't found anything interesting in the chicken coop so when I finished my job there I left taking no new pictures with me. A mulberry tree that refuses to let go of it's dying leaves gave me the opportunity of a couple new shots but still it wasn't what I was looking for.

My steps led me to the decaying vegetable garden that I have totally neglected the last couple of months. A sequence of events prevented me from planting winter vegetables and taking care of the place so today I faced a scenery of abandonment.

Most of the summer plants are hanging dry, throwing their seeds on the ground in anticipation of spring, while some others continue to bear fruits ignoring the fact that winter is on it's way.

Tomatoes, peppers and eggplants are the champions of durability!

But a couple of winter plants are grown on it's own, too. Broad beans and chard seem to be doing just fine without my intervention.

And of course a lot of weeds and a few flowers!

Decaying or not, beauty can always be found, don't you agree?
