What started off as a fast and chaotic New Year in 2018, has strangely hit its stride right at the end. We were houseparents at Monument Academy in Washington, DC up until we were offered an amazing opportunity across the country in America’s Last Frontier; Alaska. We said goodbye to our friends and family in the east coast to travel thousands of miles to a place and culture uniquely different than what we were used to, all the while following God’s calling and guidance. By December, we’re settled into our home, I’m confident in my new job, and we’ve become very connected our new community. We’ve begun to build strong relationships with our church family, and finally found our rhythm in our new life. Now that things are stable and more predicable, I’m sure the New Year of 2019 will begin with peace.

What a lovely place guys you moved to. Surely you had a wonderful holiday even away from your family and friends just look at that place... it's so beautiful there! I'd love to visit Alaska one day.

Yes, Alaska is great. This holiday we were able to begin creating our own small family traditions, which has been fun and didn't involve all the stress and bustle of juggling family time.

We live in a fjord (or on a fjord? Not sure how to phrase that). There's definitely a lot of water around here.
