Dharan is a sub-metropolitan city in Sunsari District of Estern Nepal, Province No. 1. It lies on the foothills of the Mahabharat parbat Range in the north with its tip touching the Char Kose Jhadi and edge of southern place of the Terai region. Dharan is situated approx 349 Mtr. high from the sea level.
The Koshi highway runs through the heart of the Dharan city, connecting it with the area of Biratnagar as well as the Itahari junction of the east-west Mahendra highway
Bhedetar
Bhedetar (Sheep's Butte) is a village development committee in Dhankuta District in the Koshi Zone of eastern Nepal, Province No.1. It is 1,420 meters high from the sea level. It is border line of Sunsari and Dhankuta district.
