Almost three months have passed since a Sumatran tiger later named Bonita tiger pounced on people for the first time on January 3, 2018.
On that day, Bonita tiger pounces on Jumiati to death in Kampung Danau area, Pelangiran Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau. Then, on March 10, 2018, he again pounced on a citizen. Yusri Effendi her name. He was attacked while working to build swallow's nest.
Until now, Bonita has not been caught yet.
Bonita has not been captured not because there is no effort at all. Shoots have been done repeatedly, rescue post has been built, drug levels have been added, and 12 traps have been installed.

Head of Natural Resource Conservation Center (BBKSDA) Riau Suharyono said the team had difficulty catching because of the unique and mysterious behavior of the tiger that is estimated to be aged 4-6 years.
After the Bonita tiger pounces on Yusri, for example, the villagers urged the officers to shoot Bonita with stun guns. However, continued Suharyono, strangeness occurred.

On another day, Bonita's tiger again surprised. After the drug shot, Bonita stood back after falling for about three hours.
The team concluded, the anesthesia did not react to the maximum. Therefore, the BBKSDA Riau added the level of drugs to be fired.
"Drugs we have sent today to the Estate Eboni Pelangiran District," said Suharyono, Sunday (18/3/2018).
Unique and mysterious
Suharyono also said that Bonita tiger has an unusual behavior, unlike the tigers in general.
The natural tiger behavior, he continued, usually seeks prey only at night, but not with Bonita. In addition, Bonita tiger even likes to approach humans.
"After the incident Bonita pounces on Iyus (Yusri Effendi), the team sees Bonita around the residents who are evacuating the victims," said Suharyono.
Villagers of Lake, he added, also claimed to see the Bonita tiger as it was taking a bath before pouncing on Yusri.
"Residents said, Bonita pulled a bucket of water and looked like a bath so," he said.
Since pouncing on Yusri on March 10, the Bonita tiger is seen increasingly appearing in front of residents and rescue teams.
