This is a composition of mine dating from earlier this year. "Rhapsody on Ancient Arabic and Greek Scales" was originally intended to open the second half of my graduate harpsichord/clavichord recital at CSU in April, but some movements from my "Suite for Harpsichord" were chosen instead.
This recording was made on my iPhone (since it was the only recording equipment I had at that time) when I had a few free minutes between classes one morning. In this recording, I perform "Rhapsody" on CSU's Russel French double-manual harpsichord, which was tuned to a Werckmeister temperament (413 hrz).
