Since the Harris campaign keeps bringing up Project 2025, I'm gonna keep bringing it up until people come to their senses.
I never worked for Heritage, which is where Project 2025 came from.
I did work for a 501(c)3 non-profit, which is the same tax status as Heritage, for four years.
I also worked on a political campaign at one point. The dude was a libertarian; so, he didn't win.
Seriously, the law around 501(c)3 non-profits regarding any political activity is so strict that, if I borrowed an SD card reader from work for the campaign video, and the IRS found out about it, we'd lose our non-profit status, everybody -- including me -- would lose our jobs. The whole thing would collapse.
It's not a conspiracy theory that the IRS was targeting conservative-leaning non-profits during the Obama administration. There were hearings about this. People lost their jobs over this.
That was before Trump. The current administration is clearly more hostile to the Republican party than Obama was.
If they could prove that the people at Heritage plugged a smartphone into an outlet while they were on the clock to directly support a political candidate, they would lose their 501(c)3 status immediately. Everybody would lose their jobs. The Heritage Foundation would cease to exist.
A document of over 900 pages, which is in public view, would be a lot fucking easier to prove than me using an SD card reader, or somebody plugging in a smartphone charger.
If there were any evidence at all that Project 2025 were directly connected to the Trump Campaign, the Heritage Foundation wouldn't exist anymore.
Now, some of you might say that Trump came out supporting abolishing the Department of Education, and that's a part of Project 2025.
Yeah, the thing is over 900 pages. I'm sure that a lot of leftists who are freaking out about it could find a policy or two that they like. When you shotgun ideas, some are gonna land with just about everybody. Nobody's fucking read it outside of a few policy wonks.
I won't pretend that I've read the whole thing. You shouldn't pretend that you've read the thing. We all know that you didn't read the thing. We all know that Trump didn't read the thing.
And abolishing the Department of Education is probably the best idea that any politician has had since the turn of the millennium.
Project 2025 exists. It's supposed relevance to this election is a massive fucking lie.
This administration has every reason to pick up the phone, call the IRS, and say, "Hey, look into this. Has this 501(c)3 been in cahoots with the Trump campaign."
The IRS has every reason to investigate.
The very fact that The Heritage Foundation still exists is proof that the narrative about Project 2025 in relation to the election is a lie.
